- Transparent Migration: Users can continue to collaborate within the different environments without disruption of daily productivity. This reduces administrative and help desk burdens and ensures a worry-free transition experience for the entire organization.
- Calendar Fidelity: Coexistence Manager for Notes ensures the fidelity of calendar data sent between Notes and Exchange users by:
- Maintaining all recurrence patterns of calendar invitations
- Retaining all attachments in calendar invitations
- Avoiding extraneous attachments in calendar invitations
- Ensuring that the invitee status displays only once when an Exchange user responds to a calendar invitation sent from a Notes users
- Preserving native Chair field appearance in calendar invitations sent from Exchange users to Notes users
- Document link functionality: Quest Coexistence Manager for Notes integrates with Notes Migrator for SharePoint’s Link Tracking Service*. This allows it to maintain Notes document link functionality and preserve workflow by automatically redirecting e-mail-based document hyperlinks to the current location of the application, whether it is on Notes or SharePoint.
- Native appearance: Preserve the native appearance of Notes image icons such as database, view and document links when embedded in messages sent to Exchange. This ensures transparency to end users.
- Scalable Architecture: A single workstation (or virtual instance to reduce hardware) running Coexistence Manager for Notes may be used for coexistence between single or redundant mail servers on either or both sides. Multiple instances may be deployed for load balancing and as backup against failover.
- Log and Report: Coexistence Manager for Notes documents its activities in a program log and reports on critical information, such as all errors, warnings and other significant processing events, for diagnosing runtime problems. It also keeps statistics of its processing activities to provide summary reports throughout the coexistence period.
* Note: A purchased license of Notes Migrator for SharePoint is required for this functionality.
