Spotlight® on SQL Server which is Quest Central's Performance Diagnostics module, provides historical and real-time diagnostics for all critical SQL Server components in a single interface, alerting you to potential bottlenecks, problem areas and their causes and speed resolution.

With Spotlight, DBAs can drill down to locate in-depth information about the source of a problem. And because the run-time nature of each SQL Server is unique, Spotlight calibrates itself to normal activity for each server. This allows Spotlight to automatically set the speed of the internal flows and other activity indicators. When a threshold is met, Spotlight sends a visual or audible alert.
